Flattery
Everyone likes flattery. But intention is more imprtant I think. Like you look nice Mrs. Brown (genuinely polite). You look nice Mrs. Brown (but I secretly want to have sex with you). So that is why I say intention is more important than flattery. Everyone likes to be flattered so be careful of your intention. Polite and respectful is necessary and keeps you out of trouble.
Knowing how to speak about any word any topic any subject is ladies and gentlemen these days and being able to say I don’t know what a nigger is yet is a polite way to respond to someone who asks if you know what nigger is if that is an honest answer. Flattered yet?
